Bergen – Our time in Bergen was rushed, it was more of a stop-over as we prepared for our journey through the Norwegian Fjords to the town of Balestrand. We spent our eventing enjoying wandering around the old port town and seeing the interesting passageway from a bygone era. The next morning we headed out on the Ferry, travelling up the western coast of Norway for our journey into the Fjords to the town of Balestrand.
Balestrand – We experienced heavy rains for the first 48 hours in Balestrand. The community was grateful for the rain as it had been a very dry summer. Despite the rains we enjoyed hiking, an amazing boat trip and time playing travel Settlers of Catan. On the third day the sun came out and we could appreciate the beautiful views.
