Reykjavik
A well know landmark of Reykjavick is the beautiful Lutheran Church of Hallgrímskirkja, it is said to represent the landscape of Iceland, including the glaciers and ice. In front of the church is a sculpture of Leif Erickson, who discovered Newfoundland and Labrador, 500 years before Christopher Columbus.
Kedrid – a geologic wonder. Is it a volcanic crater or something else? The controversy remains, there is a similar smaller crater nearby.
The Hvammuck hot pools, natural hot tubs on the edge of the ocean. The kids managed seven cold and hot plunges between the freezing ocean water, the hot tubs and the steam room.
