Dijon Our 24 hours in Dijon was interesting particularly the Airbnb. We stayed in the Tourette of an old building, in the central part of old Dijon. We had amazing views from the bedroom window, and it was very interesting how an old place, with limited space was updated aesthetically, making use of all the space very efficiently. The historic part of town felt almost mediaeval in some areas. There was an interesting pathway throughout the old town, market with brass plaques on the sidewalk with a cute owl pointing out the interesting historical sites. We had intended to see a museum, arriving only to find it closed (according to review online a common enough occurrence). Instead, we played a family game of Kaiser in a beautiful park by a fountain. We then went for a long walk in an area where the locals bike, run and camp. On our way we enjoyed seeing the QR code building. Unfortunately, we attempted to have lunch after 2 o’clock leaving us no choice, but to have a fast-food meal before we climbed on our train for Paris, apparently many of the nice restaurants in France have a quiet period between 2 and 7 PM and don’t serve food!
